PURPOSE:

Awarded by the BOC, on May 28, 2024 for an amount not to exceed $443,831.19.  On October 8, 2024, the BOC approved Change Order No. 1 notating a revised contract term of May 31, 2025 to allow the vendor appropriate time to complete from the recission and re-award of this project.  On May 29, 2025, the BOC approved Change Order No. 2 extending the contract term through August 31, 2025 due to delays in the manufacturing of the pre-fabricated building.  This contract consists of the installation of a canopy over the Judges’ parking lot at the DeKalb County Juvenile Justice Center. This request seeks to ratify a previously provided contract term increase.  This request also seeks to extend the contract term through December 31, 2025 and to increase funding in the amount of $20,274.58 for unforeseen conditions that arose during the construction.

 

RECOMMENDATION:

Recommended Action

Recommend approval of Change Order No. 3 with:

 

Brad Construction Company II, LLC, 500 W. Lanier Ave., Fayetteville, GA 30214

 

Amount Not To Exceed: $20,274.58

 

and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute the change order and all associated documents.
