PURPOSE:

Awarded by the BOC on October 12, 2021 for an amount not to exceed $2,310,667.00. This contract consists of the construction of the Kensington Road Sanitary Sewer Pump Station. The project also includes the installation of 10-inch, 8-inch, and 6-inch DIP gravity sewer, and 6-inch DIP force main.  Lastly, an 18-inch RCP storm drain will be installed on the eastern-most side of the proposed facility along with other ancillary improvements. Cost pressures have been rising at an increasing rate for materials, labor and fuel since October 2021. This request is to increase funding to allow for  the continuation of the installation of the new pump station which will increase the flow of water in the County and decrease failures and services interruptions.

 

RECOMMENDATION:

Recommended Action

Recommend approval of Change Order No. 1 with:

 

Ruby Collins, Inc., 4875 Martin Court SE, Smyrna, Georgia 30082

 

Amount Not To Exceed: $174,420.29

 

and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute the change order and all associated documents
