PURPOSE:

Awarded by the BOC on September 10, 2024 for an amount not to exceed $2,668,230.45. Change Order No. 1 is being proposed for the rehabilitation and painting of three (3) additional ground storage tanks, including the 5 MG tank at the Lithonia Pump Station and two (2) 5 MG storage tanks at the Scott Candler Water Treatment Plant. The original contract only included miscellaneous repairs and repainting of three (3) potable water ground storage tanks and one (1) elevated water storage tank located at four (4) separate locations throughout the County. The above referenced tanks have not been rehabilitated and/or painted in decades, and failure to complete these improvements could negatively impact the quality of the water stored in the tanks prior to distribution to Dekalb County residents.
