PURPOSE:
DWM is requesting additional funding to the GDOT PI No. 0002868 adjustments/additional installations of utility facilities as reconstruct of a Diverging Diamond Interchange Panola Road @ I-20 FROM Fairington Rd. to Snapfinger Woods Dr. in DeKalb County. Additional work was resubmitted for the reconstruct, resurfacing and water and sewer installations/adjustments associated with the Diverging Diamond Interchange Panola Road @ I-20 from Fairington Rd. to Snapfinger Woods Dr. project.
NEED/IMPACT:
The GDOT projects P.I. No. 0002868 adjustments/additional installations of utility facilities as reconstruction of a Diverging Diamond Interchange Panola Road @ I-20 FROM Fairington Rd. TO Snapfinger Woods Dr. in DeKalb County, Georgia. Therefore, the County entered into a Contact Item Agreement with GDOT to make certain adjustments/additional installations of utility facilities as reconstruction of a Diverging Diamond Interchange Panola Road @ I-20 FROM Fairington Rd. TO Snapfinger Woods Dr. in DeKalb County. The County must agree to pay the estimated cost of completing the work; the exact payment amount will be based on unit bid prices.

RECOMMENDATION:

Request approval for the change to agenda item 2025-0911 in the amount of $805,046.19 to make the project total cost of $5,025,972.85 and authorize the chief executive officer to execute all necessary documents for Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) to perform resurfacing and water and sewer installation and adjustments associated with the following projects to complete these transactions.
