This request seeks to ratify a previously issued purchase order to purchase from the competitively let Statewide Contract No. 99999-001-SPD0000198-0040 for the provision of one hundred twelve (112) jury chairs for the nine (9) remaining County courtrooms to be upgraded. These chairs will be securely bolted to the floor to enhance courtroom safety and will feature leather upholstery with ergonomic design to provide optimal comfort for extended periods of sitting. Awarded to Via, Inc., dba Via Seating, Inc., c/o Bright Interiors Group. Amount Not To Exceed: $179,058.00.

PURPOSE:
On November 10, 2025, Purchase Order No. 5055830 was issued to purchase from the competitively let Statewide Contract No. 99999-001-SPD0000198-0040 for the provision of one hundred twelve (112) jury chairs for the nine (9) remaining County courtrooms. The current jury chairs in these remaining courtrooms have not yet been upgraded and are not bolted to the floor. This present safety concerns, as unsecured chairs can be thrown, posing a risk to the County’s courtroom safety. This purchase includes new chairs that are specifically designed for courtroom use, they feature leather upholstery, ergonomic support for long periods or sitting, and are easy to clean, helping to reduce the spread of germs and bacteria. This purchase also includes shipping, and delivery, of which will be 95% assembled. Bright Interiors Group is an authorized reseller of these products and services.
