PURPOSE:

Consists of providing services to structurally rehabilitate the Scott Candler Water Treatment Plant (SCWTP) Electrical Building No. 2. The critical repairs will include, but are not limited to: replacing drop ceiling, painting conduits, replacing doors, replacing damaged roof truss connections, reattaching portions of the precast panels, and replacing cracked masonry blocks. The services will improve safety, address longstanding settlement issues, and ensure the continuous production and distribution of water to DeKalb County residents. One (1) bid was received.

This substitute is submitted to correct a scrivener’s error.

 

RECOMMENDATION:

Recommend award to the sole responsive and responsible bidder:

 

Heavy Constructors, Inc., 1596 Lower Roswell Road, Marietta, Ga 30068

 

Amount Not To Exceed: $1,916,712.00

 

and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute the contract and all associated documents
