PURPOSE:

Consists of purchasing from the competitively let TIPS Contract No. 230105 for the purchase of an iSCSI IBM enterprise flash storage platform that stores and provides access to information used by connected servers and applications. This purchase includes hardware, set-up, and installation, as well as software maintenance and technical support. This purchase also replaces the County’s existing outdated, end-of-life storage system, which is no longer secure or supported by the manufacturer, with upgraded hardware. This essential infrastructure replacement is necessary to address security and reliability risks and provide manufacturer-supported storage for critical County operations and public safety services. Failure to approve could disrupt essential County services and prevent public safety personnel from accessing time sensitive information, potentially delaying response activities. The lack of support could also prolong service recovery.
