PURPOSE:
Awarded by the BOC on December 10, 2019, at no cost to the County. On December 17, 2024, the BOC approved Change Order No. 1 to extend the contract term through June 30, 2026, and provide an annual subsidy payment in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth in the final executed Amendment for an amount not to exceed $4,892,000.00. This contract consists of providing emergency (911) ambulance services and direct billing and collections for ambulance transport and non-transport accounts to DeKalb County citizens at no cost to the County. The Service Provider collects all fees for its services.
This request is to increase the contract funding to cover the remaining invoices for services rendered through June 30, 2026.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
Recommend approval of Change Order No. 2 with:
Metro Ambulance Services, Inc. d/b/a American Medical Response, Inc., 1380-D Beverage Drive, Stone Mountain, GA 30083
Annual Amount Not To Exceed: $1,480,000.00
and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute the change order and all associated documents.
