PURPOSE:
To approve a resolution to appropriate Federal Coronavirus Relief Fund proceeds from POETA account #105424.63258.521209.01.04.602313.1 for the purposes of partnering with community-based organizations in order to assist with food distribution, housing and utility relief, education needs, transportation, medical equipment needs, childcare and essential needs as defined by CARES ACT criteria for use not to exceed $928,571.00.
NEED/IMPACT:
DeKalb stakeholders servicing constituents have a need for financial support in order to provide essential resources and relief and support to DeKalb County residents affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. DeKalb Community Development Department will have oversight for the program management, and monitoring of the $928,571.00 in funding allocations to community-based organizations.
