PURPOSE:
To consider the purchase of two vehicles $7,500 and $6,500 respectively from the Center for Pan Asian Community Services; to issue payments to the vendor from the general funds- cost center 07510.
NEED/IMPACT:
Many County residents are transportation disadvantaged due to age, declining health conditions, physical limitations, or lack of access to MARTA or other transportation options. The Human Services Department plans to use these two vehicles to take seniors as well as individuals with disabilities to senior centers, dialysis and medical appointments. Additionally, these vehicles will assist in providing transportation for other County programs and initiatives such as shuttles, youth programs, or special events.
The vehicles were inspected by the DeKalb County’s Fleet Management Department on 10/25/24 and were cleared for purchase. The department will be responsible for applying the DeKalb County’s logo and for painting the vehicles.
Once payment is issued, the department will receive the Titles for the vehicles. A description of both vehicles is below.

The funds to purchase these funds will be taken from Human Services general fund 07510 - 531101 - 100.

Approve the purchase of the two vehicles from the Center Pan Asian Community; authorize the Finance Department to issue payments to the vendor from the general fund - cost center 07510.
