CO - Change Order No. 2 to Contract No. 1296151 Consent Decree - Design and Engineering Services for Shoal Creek Trunk Sewer Relief Project (Multiyear Contract): for use by the Department of Watershed Management (DWM). Consists of providing design and engineering services for the upsizing of numerous trunk sewers to address seven (7) repeat sanitary sewer overflow areas in the County. This request is to increase contract scope and funds. Awarded to Atkins North America, Inc. Amount Not To Exceed: $363,268.00.

PURPOSE:
Awarded by the BOC on July 12, 2022 for an amount not to exceed $5,224,841.00. On December 12, 2023, the BOC approved Change Order No. 1 to increase the scope of work and funding in an amount not to exceed $1,026,561.77. Consists of providing design and engineering services during pre-construction, construction, and post-construction. Services will include, but are not limited to, preparing the Basis of Design Report (BDR); drawings; specifications; permit applications and supporting documentation to obtain all necessary permits; and coordination with regulatory agencies and utility companies. This request seeks to increase contract scope, to include Priority Fix List Sites to provide temporary offline storage and reduce SSOs, and funding in an amount not to exceed $363,268.00. This additional funding is necessary to ensure continued compliance with EPA/EPD requirements and overall project success.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
Recommend approval of Change Order No. 2 with:
Atkins North America, Inc., 1600 River Edge Drive, Suite 700, Atlanta, GA 30328
and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute the change order and all associated documents.
