RAT - Ratification of Change Order No. 1 to Contract 1364984 Police Academy Physical Ability Test (PAT) Facility (56 days): for use by the Department of Facilities Management. This contract consists of the conversion of a large meeting room and stage into a single space at the former Bruce Street Senior Center for a permanent indoor facility for year-round physical training and testing of Police Academy new recruits. This request seeks to ratify Change Order No. 1 resulting from various previously completed modifications authorized during construction. Awarded to Diversified Construction of Georgia, Inc. PURPOSE:
Awarded by the BOC on December 12, 2023 for an amount not to exceed $550,502.00. This contract consists of repurposing the former Bruce Street Senior Center’s (2484 Bruce Street) lunchroom area, large meeting space, stage, and kitchen area into a permanent indoor facility for year-round physical training and testing of Police Academy new recruits. This request seeks to ratify Change Order No. 1 resulting from various previously completed modifications authorized during construction. These modifications were necessary due to unforeseen excavation, door changes, additional corridor flooring, light replacement in the kitchen, painting, exterior demo and masonry. This request supports final payment for services rendered and includes credits for not replacing windows, a door credit, and removal of drywall at tile walls.

Recommended Action
Recommend ratification of Change Order No. 1 with:
Diversified Construction of Georgia, Inc., 2104 Vista Dale Court, Tucker, GA 30084
Amount Not To Exceed: $58,916.45
and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute the change order and all associated documents.
