PURPOSE:
Awarded by the BOC on June 11, 2024, for an amount not to exceed $4,922,500.00. On January 13, 2026, the BOC approved Change Order No. 1 to increase the scope of work and funding in an amount not to exceed $1,413,311.17. Change Order No. 2 is being requested to provide additional funding and performance time for instrumentation and replacement of Ultraviolet effluent gate actuators and controls communication along with associated design engineering cost at Snapfinger Advanced Wastewater Treatment Facility (SFAWTF).
The implementation of a Ultraviolet Disinfection System will allow for the retiring of the hazardous gaseous chlorine disinfection process and provide the County significant health and safety benefits, while remaining compliant with the Consent Decree requirements.
RECOMMENDATION:

Recommend approval of Change Order No. 2 with:
Morgan Contracting, Inc., 4124 Flakes Mill Road, Decatur, GA 30034
Amount Not to Exceed: $394,309.31.
and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute the change order and all associated documents.
