PURPOSE:
Awarded on February 17, 2024, for an amount not to exceed $98,000.00. On February 25, 2025, the BOC approved Change Order No. 1 to ratify previously provided sixty (60) day contract term extension, effective January 1, 2025, and to increase contract funds and extend the term through December 31, 2025, for an amount not to exceed $150,000.00. This contract consists of State certified and tested KNOWiNK Poll Pad system consisting of Apple iPad, stand components including the base, arm, sled and ID tray, Voter Card Encoder, and Thermal Printer. KNOWiNK is a mandated vendor that offers election management tools that allows jurisdictions to see voter turnout in real-time, monitor the status of Poll Pads, and remotely lock or disable a Poll Pad if there is a security issue at a polling site. This purchase is required for the 2026 Gubernatorial Election, and Special Election Runoff.
This request will accommodate the costs associated with the change in the County’s precinct card mailing process as coordinated by the Secretary of State this year. In addition to covering the mailings, the adjustment will also cover additional election related purchases and services provided by this contractor during the remainder of the 2025 election year and throughout the 2026 cycle. This request seeks to increase contract funds and contract term through December 31, 2026. The services provided by the contractor will improve the voting experience for DeKalb County citizens.
