Consists of providing services to design; repair, demolish, and replace storage tank roofs; and complete interior and exterior painting of three (3) steel potable water ground storage tanks at the Scott Candler Water Treatment Plant. PURPOSE:
Awarded by the BOC on November 14, 2017 for an amount not to exceed $7,241,636.00. At the time of the original bid, the contractor was not able to complete a thorough internal inspection of the tanks due to the hazardous field conditions that are still present on site. This request is to increase the performance time by 117 days and to add a work allowance for completion of current and any future unforeseen work associated with the roof replacement of the three (3) potable water ground storage tanks.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
Recommend approval of Change Order No. 1 with:
Reeves Young, LLC, 25 Peachtree Industrial Boulevard, Suite 200, Gwinnett, GA 30518
Amount Not to Exceed: $500,000.00
and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute the change order and all associated documents.
