A void exists for the unhoused in need of warming station services during cycles of inclement weather.

There are only 13 activations in the current agreement remaining until April 1, 2024, with the bulk of the winter coming.

The agreement with Frontline covers warming center operations in a 30,000sq ft facility, food, transportation, case management, and administration for up to 150 unhoused persons in DeKalb County.  The request will extend services for a period of sixty (60) more days and 60 activations when temperatures reach thirty-eight (38) degrees or below.
