Proposed approval of the First Amendment to the Rental Agreement for certain property located at 2994 Turner Hill Road, Stonecrest, Georgia 30038, consisting of approximately 155,000 square feet of space, tax parcel identification number 16 183 01 006, owned by the Urban Redevelopment Agency of the City of Stonecrest (the “URA”), for use as an advance voting location and warehouse to facilitate County voter registrations and elections operations through the current election cycle and/or other essential County activities. The proposed First Amendment to the Rental Agreement extends the term until January 2, 2025.

PURPOSE:
To approve the First Amendment to the Rental Agreement between the URA and DeKalb County for certain property located at 2994 Turner Hill Road, Stonecrest, Georgia 30038, consisting of approximately 155,000 square feet of space, tax parcel identification number 16 183 01 006.
NEED/IMPACT:
To provide an advance voting location and additional warehouse space for the Department of Voter Registration and Elections to facilitate County voter registration and elections operations through the current election cycle and/or other essential County activities.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Rental in the amount of $30,833.33 per month for seven months; cost of continued building maintenance by the County during the lease period.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
Approve the First Amendment to the Rental Agreement between the URA and DeKalb County and authorize the CEO to execute the amendment and any other documents related to the amendment at an appropriate time and in a form authorized by the County Attorney.
