PURPOSE:
To appropriate $10,000 of District 6 Reserve for Appropriations to the City of Avondale Estates to support the 2025 Shakespeare On The Green-Community Arts and Education Series
NEED/IMPACT:
This District 6 allocation will support the efforts of Avondale Estates to bring free, professional Shakespeare performances to the public, transforming the Avondale Town Green into a vibrant, outdoor cultural space. The City of Avondale Estates will enter into agreement with Nicole Sage, Sage Pr for services for event development, production logistics, and community outreach for the delivery of a recurring live Shakespeare performance event in the Fall 2025 (September, October, November).
This effort stands as both a proof of concept and a launching point for future cultural programming countywide. It highlights a partnership of capacity to lead, build partnerships, navigate logistics, and create meaningful, sustainable community experiences through public-private collaboration.

Decrease appropriations for the following account by the amount indicated below:

RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
To approve the allocation of $10,000 from the 2025 District 6 Reserve for Appropriation account to the City of Avondale Estates to support the 2025 Shakespeare On The Green Community Arts and Education Series and authorize the Chief Executive Officer or her designee to execute all necessary documents.
