PURPOSE:

Consists of furnishing all materials, labor, equipment and incidentals required for replacing and/ or repairing gate valves or inserting valves and air valves. Valve replacement and repair may include but not limited to installing new valves of various sizes ranging from four inches (4”) to forty-eight inches (48”) in diameter; and repairs of existing valves. Work also includes installation, disinfection, and testing for leaks, repairs to existing valves; excavation of rocks, concrete pavement, roads, sidewalks, and curbs. Contractor will be responsible for repairing disturbed areas. This contract will allow staff to mitigate existing water and air valve leaks that can potentially cause environmental impacts to the County. Two (2) bids were received.
