PURPOSE:
To accept $349,475.00 from the Fiscal Year 2026 Economic Development Initiative (EDI) - Community Project Funding (CPF)- Congressional Grants Division (EDI-CPF) Grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for the grant period of acceptance date through September 30, 2034, for the Arabia Mountain Bridge Renovations and to authorize the CEO or his designee to execute all necessary documents.
NEED/IMPACT:
The Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs Department has applied for and was awarded grant funding to make improvements to the Arabia Mountain Bridge located at 3787 Klondike Road, Lithonia, GA 30038 (16 141 04 012). The grant funding will be used for capital improvements by the Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs for this DeKalb County Park.
FISCAL IMPACT:
$349,475.00 Reimbursable grant funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

Recommended Action
To accept $349,475.00 from the FY2026 Economic Development Initiative-Community Project Funding (CPF)- Congressional Grants Division Grant Award from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for the grant period of acceptance date through September 30, 2034, for renovations to Arabia Mountain Bridge and to authorize the Chief Executive Officer and the department designee to execute all necessary documents.
