PURPOSE:
To consider entering into an indication of roundabout support which the County would participate in a future formal street lighting agreement with the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) to provide energy, operation and maintenance for proposed streets lights and participate in a future formal maintenance agreement for any enhanced landscaping approved by the County and GDOT; and
To consider authorizing the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents pertaining to this project.
NEED/IMPACT:
GDOT is proposing to construct an intersection improvement at SR 155/Clairmont Road at Rosecliff Drive (GDOT PI No. 0015956). If street lighting is determined to be needed for additional safety countermeasures and/or enhanced landscaping is desired by the County, then the indication of support states that DeKalb County is willing to enter into a future agreement to provide ongoing energy, operation and maintenance for this lighting and enter into a mowing maintenance agreement to maintain the landscaping.
FISCAL IMPACT:
If street lighting is determined to be needed for additional safety countermeasures and/or enhanced landscaping desired by the County, then the indication of support states that DeKalb County is willing to enter into a future agreement to provide ongoing energy, operation and maintenance for this lighting and enter into a future mowing maintenance agreement to maintain the landscaping.
