PURPOSE:

To consider the attached Resolution, Order and Declaration of Taking for acquisition of certain right of way on Parcel 48 (Owner:  Louis Donaldson et al) needed for “ “Glenwood Road Sidewalk Improvement Project, Phase III (Columbia Drive to Covington Highway)”.

 

NEED/IMPACT:

The condemnation will enable the County to include the subject property in the project to install sidewalks on Glenwood Road from Columbia Drive to Covington Highway.  The required property interest is valued at $700.00 and a certified letter has been sent to the property owner.

 

The County Attorney has reviewed the attached documents and approves to form.

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

The fiscal impact to DeKalb County is $700.00.  The funding is SPLOST 1.

 

RECOMMENDATION:

Recommended Action

Adopt the attached Resolution, Order and Declaration of Taking for acquisition of certain right of way on Parcel 48 (Owner:  Louis Donaldson et al) needed for “ “Glenwood Road Sidewalk Improvement Project, Phase III (Columbia Drive to Covington Highway)”; and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents.
