PURPOSE:
The purpose of this agenda item is to provide not to exceed $3,000 of the District 7 ARP Interest to support Women's resource center to end domestic violence programming.
NEED/IMPACT:
The allocation of up to $3,000 of District 7 ARP Interest funding to support programming through the Women’s Resource Center to End Domestic Violence is a critical investment in the safety, stability, and well-being of DeKalb County residents. Strengthening these services helps ensure that survivors have access to emergency support, counseling, advocacy, and pathways to long-term stability at a time when many families are facing rising living costs and increased economic stress-factors that can heighten vulnerability to domestic violence. By supporting a trusted, community-based organization with a proven track record of protecting and empowering survivors, this funding directly enhances public safety, reduces barriers to essential services, and reinforces DeKalb County’s commitment to fostering secure, healthy, and resilient communities.
