District 3 Allocation to appropriate American Rescue Plan Award funds assigned to POETA Account ##106388.63230.602778.01.03.602778 reserved for District 3 (Amount Not to Exceed) $75,000 to Girls Inc. and Black Man Lab to build stronger communities and to help mitigate efforts for those impacted by COVID-19 by educating and bringing awareness of the public health emergency, or its negative economic impacts and any other essential needs caused by the global pandemic.

PURPOSE:
To approve the appropriation (amount not to exceed) $75,000 from the District 3 ARP Award from POETA Account # 106388.63230.602778.01.03.602778.
NEED/IMPACT:
The funding will be provided Girls Inc. and Black Man Lab to educate and bring awareness and help equip youth with conflict resolution, violence prevention and how to manage anxiety through the arts and leverage other necessary tools and resources to help mitigate stress caused by the public health emergency, or its negative economic impacts and any other essential needs caused by the global pandemic.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The funding will come from District 3 ARP Award from POETA Account # 106388.63230.602778.01.03.602778 (amount not to exceed) $75,000 to the following agencies:
• Girls Incorporated of Greater Atlanta ($50,000)
• Black Man Lab ($25,000)

To approve the resolution and authorize the chief executive officer to execute all necessary documents.
