PURPOSE:
To authorize the Acceptance of GDOT Allocation of Federal Funding Assistance (BIL Allocated Funds) Associated with the Replacement of the Airfield Electrical System (LED Lighting) at DeKalb Peachtree Airport; and
To approve the execution of the attached resolution.
NEED/IMPACT:
Authorization is needed to accept a Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) allocation of federal funding assistance consists of the replacement of the airfield electrical system (LED lighting) on the Airport. The federal funding assistance provides for improvements to sustain continued safety and security at the Airport.
The Airport is working with the Purchasing & Contracting Department to meet an extended scheduled contract date.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The federal funding assistance includes FAA funding in an allocation of $2,250,000.00. There is a matching cost to the County in the amount of $125,000.00.
