PURPOSE:

To allocate a decommissioned Ford E250 Van from DeKalb County Fleet Management valued at $4,000 to Blessing Bags of Warmth to assist their homeless outreach services.

 

NEED/IMPACT:

Blessing Bags of Warmth for the Homeless, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization based in DeKalb County. They provide hands-on, frontline assistance to individuals and families experiencing homelessness, housing insecurity, and extreme financial hardship. Their outreach vehicle has broken down beyond repair, significantly impacting their ability to provide services including transporting families to shelters and providing essential deliveries.

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

No direct fiscal impact; vehicle is valued at $4,000.

Recommended Action

To approve the allocation of a decommissioned fleet vehicle and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents.
