PURPOSE:
To reappoint Dr. Michael Carr to the Regional Emergency Services Council, District III - DeKalb Appointee, Position 3.
NEED/IMPACT:
To reappoint Dr. Michael Carr to the Regional Emergency Services Council, District III - DeKalb Appointee, Position 3. Dr. Carr is currently the Medical Director for DeKalb County Fire Rescue. Dr. Carr requires re-appointment for the term that began on July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2025.
The purpose of this reappointment is to ensure the interests of DeKalb County are represented with respect to emergency medical services. This council also coordinates, facilitates the improvement of, and maintains a quality emergency medical services system for eight counties that comprise EMS Region III: Clayton, Cobb, DeKalb, Douglas, Fulton, Gwinnett, Newton and Rockdale. This appointment is critical in that Chief Fullum will have the opportunity to positively impact emergency medical services not only in DeKalb but across the entire region.

Recommended Action
To reappoint Dr. Michael Carr to the Regional Emergency Services Council, District III - DeKalb Appointee - Position 3, with a term of July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2025, and authorize the Chief Executive Officer or his designee to execute all necessary documents.
