PURPOSE:
Awarded by the BOC, on December 4, 2018, in an amount not to exceed $20,348,555.00. On September 26, 2023, the BOC approved Change Order No.1 to increase the funds and term through December 31, 2024 in an amount not to exceed $6,300,000.00. This contract consists of the management of animal sheltering operations and animal services for the DeKalb County Animal Shelter.

This request is to increase the contract term through December 31, 2025 and funds for continued operations and community initiatives to enhance the quality of life for pets and people in the County. These initiatives include Free Mobile Clinic Pet Wellness Services, SNIP DeKalb (Spray/Neuter Impact Program), Pet Food Bank and Access to Veterinarian Care. This request also includes a team of Bio-Hazard personnel for daily specialized enhanced cleaning required to pass the Department of Agriculture inspections.

RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
Recommend approval of Change Order No. 2 with

Lifeline Animal Project, Inc., 129 Lake Street, Avondale Estates, GA 30002

Amount Not To Exceed: $8,730,000.00

and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute the change order and all associated documents.
