PURPOSE:
The mental health needs in our community are great - perhaps one of the most trauma-impacted communities in the country. Georgia was ranked last in all 50 states in a recent study for access to services for its citizens, and we have significant disparity in access to mental health services for our Clarkston/Refugee community.
This ARP funding, appropriated to District 6 POETA Account 105744.63258.521209.01.06.602479, will assist the Clarkston Mental Health Alliance with their capacity to expand mental health services to the most vulnerable who reside in Clarkston, District 6, DeKalb County, Georgia.
NEED/IMPACT:
This District 6 RP appropriation will support efforts the Clarkston Mental Health Alliance, which consists of a partnership between DeKalb County, Georgia State University and the International Rescue Committee, to expand and provide the critical mental health services to the Clarkston/Refugee community as indicated in the attached scope.

Recommended Action
Approve the District 6 ARP appropriation, and the attached scope of work which will be used by Law for the MOA. This referenced appropriation and project has been vetted and pre-approved as an emergency.
