PURPOSE:

The Everside Clinic management contract is set to expire on 10/29/2024. Initial contract was for one year. Requesting a 4-year contract extension and to expand health center access to spouses, dependents, and pre-65 retirees.

 

NEED/IMPACT:

Employees need convenient access to high-quality, affordable health care. Care delivered at the employee health center will be available at either a significant reduction or at no cost for DeKalb County employees. By reducing financial barriers to care, the clinic will encourage compliance with preventative care, routine visits to monitor and manage chronic conditions, and provide early identification of potentially catastrophic conditions such as cancer, kidney disease, and cardiovascular conditions. 

 

Other Benefits:

The clinic is available for employees in the Anthem self-insured plan only.

 

                     $0 Co-pay for Anthem POS & HMO members. Reduced co-pay for Anthem HSA members

                     Free or discounted prescriptions for improved medication compliance and health outcomes

                     Improved employee productivity

                     Triage for on-the-job illness & injury

 

The health center represents another tool to help attract and retain employees in a competitive hiring environment.

RECOMMENDATION:

Recommended Action

Extend the Everside employee health center management agreement for four years and approve health center access for spouses, dependents and pre-65 retirees who are enrolled in the Anthem plans.
