PURPOSE:
To accept a supplemental subgrant award in the amount of $12,608 awarded by the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council to the County for the benefit of the Magistrate Court of DeKalb County’s Misdemeanor Mental Health Court, which is the county’s adult misdemeanor mental health court. The MMHC is fully certified by the Council of Accountability Court Judges through February 29, 2020.
NEED/IMPACT:
These supplemental grant funds will be used to defray costs associated with the Misdemeanor Mental Health Court’s operations, administration, housing and treatment options for participants.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The match portion of the grant in the amount of $1,400 will be requested from the County in the 2019 budget.
