PURPOSE:
To allocate $176,050 from District 2 Park Bond Accounts and D2 Capital Reserves for improvements at Pendergrast Park.
NEED/IMPACT:
This project will complete a 0.2-mile trail expansion identified in the 2017 Pendergrast Park Master Plan. The improvements will activate currently unused parkland and expand community access to nature for both recreational and passive use. Work includes pedestrian bridges, boardwalks, and an overlook as the trail traverses wetlands, streams, and varied terrain within the park’s deciduous forest.
