PURPOSE:
Consists of repairing and sealing cracks on the airport's runway and surface-treated pavements, for the purposes of maintaining the safety of aircrafts that are taking off and landing on the runways. This project includes removal of existing pavement markings to be replaced with new markings in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) standards. Additional scope includes crack sealing and asphalt surface treatments on runways, the Helicopter apron, and the apron area in front of the administration building, known as "Tract #5." This project includes marking removal and eradication, pavement surface cleaning and preparation, crack sealing, surface treatment, and surface painted marking. Work under this schedule will follow the necessary requirements and standards set forth by the FAA. Three (3) bids were received.
