Record the appointment of Eric Carlton to the Friends of the DeKalb Sports Commission as the District 6 Representative.
NEED/IMPACT:
The appointment is needed to ensure District 6 has representation in the Friends of the DeKalb Sports Commission and can participate in discussions that support planning, coordination, and community engagement related to major sporting events and initiatives.
Having a representative allows the district to contribute to collaborative efforts among local governments, agencies, and community partners to promote economic development, tourism, and regional opportunities associated with sports and large-scale events.
