NEED/IMPACT:
A Veterans Day celebration is vital to DeKalb County as it honors the courage, sacrifice, and service of the county's military veterans who have defended our freedoms and enriched our communities. By publicly recognizing their contributions, the county fosters a culture of respect, unity, and gratitude, especially among younger generations. Such events also provide an opportunity to connect veterans with local resources, strengthen community bonds, and highlight the diverse stories of service that shape DeKalb's identity. Enhancing the celebration with wellness programming-such as muscle therapeutic and chiropractic care-not only shows appreciation but actively promotes community health. These services support physical recovery, reduce stress, and improve mobility, especially for aging veterans and seniors. Integrating wellness into the event creates a holistic experience that uplifts both body and spirit, reinforcing DeKalb County's dedication to honoring and caring for its residents.
