PURPOSE:
The purpose of this Agenda Item is to allocate an amount not to exceed $5,400.00 of the District 7 Reserve for appropriation funds for Tobie Grant Recreation Center PERFORMING ARTS GROUP 2025 VETERAN'S DAY CELEBRATION "Service to Our Nation".
NEED/IMPACT:
A Veterans Day celebration is vital to DeKalb County as it honors the courage, sacrifice, and service of the county's military veterans who have defended our freedoms and enriched our communities. By publicly recognizing their contributions, the county fosters a culture of respect, unity, and gratitude, especially among younger generations. Enhancing the celebration with wellness programming-such as muscle therapeutic and chiropractic care-not only shows appreciation but actively promotes community health.
