PURPOSE:
The proposed project will look at a phased infill strategy for small-format permanent supportive housing at 2002 Glenfair and 3892 Glenwood Downs Lane to help in understanding a general long-term potential housing yield for the sites. (proposal attached)
NEED/IMPACT:
For some of the most vulnerable people in America - people with mental illness, chronic health conditions, histories of trauma, and other struggles - a home helps them to get adequate treatment and start on the path toward recovery. But some conditions make it difficult for people to maintain a stable home without additional help and often end up in crisis situations while experiencing being unhoused, and emergency rooms may be the only health care they are able to access. Supportive housing is proven as a highly effective strategy that combines affordable housing with intensive coordinated services, can provide that needed assistance.
This funding to Claratewill support the overall site designs that detail a phase one layout with buildings, limited parking, sidewalks, and amenity spaces. The Master Plan Diagram will dash in general locations of potential future phases based upon a replication of the phase one design.
