PURPOSE:
To consider the approval of the usage of SPLOST II funding in the amount of $100,000.00 to investigate the feasibility of completing major renovations in lieu of replacement at Fire Stations 18, 19 and 20.
NEED/IMPACT:
Fire Stations 18,19 and 20 were built in 1970, 1980 and 1990 and have been identified in the SPLOST program as requiring extensive work. This action will investigate the feasibility of completing major renovations in lieu of replacement. It is anticipated that the cost to renovate 2 fire stations would be comparable to the cost of replacing 1 fire station.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funding will pe provided through SPLOST II Category A1- Public Safety Purposes.
