PURPOSE:
Awarded by the BOC on June 13, 2023, to five vendors for a total amount not to exceed $3,325,000.00. These contracts consist of cutting, cleaning, spraying and repair/maintenance of stormwater retention and detention ponds. On July 9, 2024, the BOC approved Change Order No. 2 to assign the contract with Ed Castro Landscape, Inc., and its remaining funds and term, to Mariani Enterprises LLC dba Ed Castro Landscape. This request seeks to increase the contract funds only. The additional funding will allow the contractors to continue servicing the 1,020 County-owned and maintained ponds to protect local waterbodies from the harmful effects of stormwater pollution caused by stormwater runoff, reduce erosion, and prevent downstream flooding caused by an increase in upstream impervious surfaces.
