PURPOSE:
In 2017, the CEO initiated Operation Clean Sweep, a multi-departmental effort to eradicate blight and promote beautification throughout the County. Outside landscaping services are needed to assist with mowing, litter collection, trash removal, trimming, blowing and herbicide services on a six-week cycle. On December 15, 2015, the BOC awarded the contract for an amount not to exceed $89,480.00. On July 12, 2016, the BOC approved Change Order No. 1 to cancel another contracted vendor and award lines to Flex Landscaping. On November 7, 2016, the BOC approved the 1st renewal option for an amount not to exceed $100,720.80. On December 5, 2017, the BOC approved the 2nd renewal option on a month to month basis for an amount not to exceed $30,000.00. On March 27, 2018, due to cancellation of 3Mack Lawn Services, the BOC awarded additional sites to Flex Landscaping for an amount not to exceed $50,000.00 monthly. On March 22, 2018, the BOC approved Change Order No. 2 for an amount not to exceed $75,000.00 to assist in servicing the right-of ways. This request is to cover two (2) additional cuts for the entire five (5) groups of Right-of-Ways listed.
