PURPOSE:
To allocate $20,000 from the 2024 District 2 Youth Reserve for Appropriation account to 100 Black Men of DeKalb, Inc. for the Youth Explorers Leadership Program Development
NEED/IMPACT:
The 100 Black Men of DeKalb develop culturally responsive leaders equipped with the knowledge, skills, confidence and experience they need to lead in their families, academic institutions, careers, and communities. This new Youth Explorer program will be created to further leadership development and continue the organization’s drive to improve the well-being and quality of life of black and brown youth and their families by enhancing education, environmental, and economic opportunities.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Increase appropriations for the following account by the amount indicated below:
Non-Departmental - Unincorporated Fund - Other Miscellaneous Payments (09110.573099.100.0000.0000) - $20,000
Decrease appropriations for the following account by the amount indicated below:
Non-Departmental - Unincorporated Fund - Reserve for Appropriation (09110.579002.100.0000.0000) - $20,000

Recommended Action
To approve the allocation of $20,000 from the 2024 District 2 Youth Reserve for Appropriation account to 100 Black Men of DeKalb and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents.
