PURPOSE:
The DeKalb County Public Safety SPLOST purpose prioritized detention facility planning. As such, an expedited assessment of DeKalb County's 30-year-old detention facility will receive support under this allocation.

The County will embark on a 5 month expedited assessment that will include a focus on upgrades and detention security needs. Findings of the FCA will be documented in a formal report presented to the County and the Sheriff's Office. The report will include cost estimates, recommendations and completion prioritizations within the County's budget, and plans for inmate housing during construction, if applicable.

Performed tasks will include but may not be limited to:
1. Conducting facility assessments of DeKalb County Jail
2. Advise on prioritization of findings from the assessment
3. Provide options and/or scenarios with budget and schedule information
4. Considerations will take into account the need for continuation of operations and inmate housing within the jail
5. Focus will include critical areas as well as reporting on early findings, such as security. This should assist the County...
