PURPOSE:
To allocate $4,350 from the 2024 District 2 Reserve for Appropriation account to Legacy Parking Company for a parking study in Emory Village, DeKalb County.
NEED/IMPACT:
Parking in Emory Village has been a challenge for many decades. The Emory Village Alliance and DeKalb’s Planning & Sustainability agree that a parking study is needed to verify and revise the Emory Village Overlay’s parking requirements and find solutions to other parking issues in the Village. Commissioners Spears and Terry have agreed to share the cost of funding for this study. Attached is the proposal from Legacy Parking Company enumerating the objectives, parameters, and scope of the study.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Increase appropriations for the following account by the amount indicated below:
Non-Departmental - Unincorporated Fund - Other Miscellaneous Payments (09130.573099.272.0000.0000) - $4,350
Decrease appropriations for the following account by the amount indicated below:
Non-Departmental - Unincorporated Fund - Reserve for Appropriation (09130.579002.272.0000.0000) - $4,350
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
To approve the allocation of $4,350 from the 2024 District 2 Reserve for Appropriation account to Legacy Parking Company and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents.
