PURPOSE:
To allocate $3,000 from the 2026 District 2 Reserve for Appropriation Funding to Park Pride for the 2026 Parks and Greenspace Conference
NEED/IMPACT:
Founded in 1989, Park Pride is a nonprofit organization that works with communities all over DeKalb to improve parks through programming, funding, and leadership. Park Pride works with neighborhood groups to create a network of greenspaces throughout DeKalb County that contribute to the overall health and well-being of our citizens. This funding will support the 2026 Parks and Greenspace conference, “Resilient Parks, Resilient Communities,” that serves to educate and inform park lovers and supporters from all over Atlanta and DeKalb.
FISCAL IMPACT:
An amount not to exceed $3,000 to Park Pride from Board of Commissioners District 2 2026 Reserve for Appropriation (00202.579002.100.0000.0000).
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
To approve the allocation and authorize the Chief Executive Officer or her designee to execute all necessary documents.
