Consists of piggybacking off the competitively let H-GAC (Houston-Galveston Area Council) Contract No. FS12-19 (Fire Service Apparatus All Types), to purchase one (1) Oshkosh Striker 4x4 Aircraft Rescue & Fire Fighting Vehicle for fire response at DeKalb Peachtree Airport. PURPOSE:
This unit is used to quickly extinguish fires involving aircraft at the DeKalb Peachtree Airport to across all terrains and in all types of weather. The last units we bought were in 1992 and 2008. The parts for the 1992 reserve model are becoming obsolete and a reliable back up is needed. This is a replacement unit under the twelve (12) year replacement schedule.
