PURPOSE:
To assist the county by providing services to the unhoused, which will include the implementation of the unhoused navigator and warming & cooling center services, as well as permanent housing transition services. The contract will also include conducting monthly jail outreach to DeKalb County jail and other city jails to host reentry sessions with individuals interested in preparing for release and rebuilding. The budget allocation of $990,000.00 covers a full year of the aforementioned services countywide.
NEED/IMPACT:
The services provided by this contract will assist the county with addressing critical needs associated with the unhoused specifically pertaining to the following categories: Outreach & Prevention, Rescue & Relocation, Emergency/Temporary Housing-90 day (with wrap-around services and extensions available), Warming /Cooling Center, and Permanent Housing Transition Services.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This price will include all services needed by DeKalb County as it relates to unhoused services.
