PURPOSE:
•To consider approving receipt of a vehicle from Georgia’s Homeland Security Grant Program/Georgia Emergency Management Agency (GEMA); and
•To consider accepting a 2019 Chevrolet Tahoe from the Georgia Office of Homeland Security/GEMA for use in compliance with the grantor’s requirements; and
•To consider authorizing the Chief Executive Officer to execute the necessary documents.
NEED/IMPACT:
The DeKalb County Police Department will dedicate use of the 2019 Chevrolet Tahoe in its Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD), Canine Program within the Special Operations Division. The vehicle has a value of approximately $50,000, and it was purchased utilizing 2018 HSGP EOD K9 (through the state).
