PURPOSE:
The Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs Department seeks Board of Commissioners approval to rename Split Creek Park to Rowland Neighborhood Park.
NEED/IMPACT:
At the request of the surrounding community, RPCA seeks approval to rename the DeKalb County park located at 1227 Rowland Road, Stone Mountain, GA 30083, from Split Creek Park to Rowland Neighborhood Park. The new name reflects the community’s desire for a neighborhood park as a gathering area for the surrounding patrons to utilize.

Recommended Action
To approve the renaming of Split Creek Park to Rowland Neighborhood Park; and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents.
