PURPOSE:

To Authorize the renewal of the lease at 4572 Memorial Drive, which is set to expire September 15, 2023, to facilitate the future build-out and relocation of the State/Traffic Court Operations.

 

NEED/IMPACT:

The State/Traffic Court needs to relocate from their current facility in the Bobby Burgess Complex at 3630 Camp Circle to the facility at 4572 Memorial Drive in order that the Magistrate Court, which is also housed at the Bobby Burgess Complex, can take over the space and expand their operations at their current location. The facility at 4572 Memorial Drive has the space to accommodate the State/Traffic Court’s needs.

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

The renewal of the lease will require $513,800.00 per year for the next three (3) years for a total of $1,541,400.00 over three years.

 

RECOMMENDATION:

Recommended Action

Approve the renewal of the lease at 4572 Memorial Drive to facilitate the necessary expansion of the Magistrate Court at 3630 Camp Circle. Authorize the Chief Executive Officer or designee to execute any necessary documents.
