PURPOSE:
Consists of piggybacking off the competitively let City of Eastpoint annual contract for the performance of water valve condition assessments and evaluations. These services will include locating, accessing, and clean-out of valve structures; the collection of over 30 valve attributes and capture of a sub-foot GPS locate; and the documentation of necessary work orders that will allow for valve operability. These services will also include locating and collection of attributes for fire hydrants; capture of a sub-foot GPS locate; and the documentation of necessary work orders. Use of this cooperative agreement will assist the County in the development of a valve assessment and data documentation program.

Recommended Action
Recommend approval to purchase from City of East Point Contract No. 2016-1585 with:
Pure Technologies U.S., Inc dba Wachs Water Services (a Xylem, Inc. brand), 8920 State Route 108, Suite D, Columbia, Maryland 21045
Amount Not to Exceed: $5,249,250.00
and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute the contract and all associated documents.
