PURPOSE:
The GROUP DC, LLC has been engaged to support the County's federal government relations and intergovernmental advocacy efforts. The scope of services primarily includes, but is not limited to, serving as liaison on behalf of the County with the U.S. Congress and Executive Branch agencies, with a focus on water infrastructure, housing, and economic development; assessing the County's needs and priorities for federal funding; and identifying potential federal funding opportunities, including appropriations, grants, and programs, and assisting the County with positioning efforts related to those opportunities. The services also include: 1) advising County leadership on federal legislative, appropriations, and administrative initiatives; 2) developing and implementing effective short term and multi-year strategies and action plans; 3) supporting the County in interpreting relevant water-related federal regulations; and 4) coordinating with the Chief Executive Officer, the County's Intergovernmental Affairs staff, and BOC Central Staff to ensure timely, informed, and strategic federal engagement on matters impacting the County.
